Project Naari has its roots from the very essence of the taboos, myths, and menstrual illiteracy that still continue to exist in the India of the 21st century. Since 2018, NAARI continues to raise awareness about menstruation and its basic hygiene, educating women about their body and their basic menstrual needs.
Project Inara aims at producing biodegradable bowls, candles, and accessories out of discarded coconut shells. These waste shells are sourced from restaurants, eateries, and households in and around Chennai. Inara believes in "Crafting Future" by training the Irular tribal community in shell craft and generating livelihood to "Remould" their lives.
Malar uses Flower Cycling to turn flower waste into organic incense sticks, tackling the pollution caused by flowers at its roots. Our sticks address flower pollution while providing the luxury of premium incense โ handmade by visionary women from slums in Tirusulam and Meenambakkam.
Project Pooranya aims to metamorphose doomed fabric into beautifully upcycled products. Globally, an estimated 92 million tonnes of textiles waste is produced each year โ 70% ends in landfills. With skilled women from Teynampet and Kolathur, Pooranya makes sustainable fashion more affordable than ever.
Pattra aims to recycle old materials with support from the transgender community residing in Chennai โ another step in Enactus VITC's commitment to inclusive entrepreneurial action.
